Winter activity
The mountains are calling! Skiing is a tradition here – the Feldberg quite rightly refers to itself as the “cradle of German skiing”, as it was here that the first German skiing club was formed in 1891.
The Black Forest Highlands attract visitors to the peaks in winter too – the region’s best skiing is between 850 and 1,493 metres. World-famous ski jumps are found in Hinterzarten and Titisee-Neustadt and the Black Forest’s most extensive slopes are spread out on the slopes of the Feldberg.
